In Memoriam of Paul Kokelj 25 July 1987 - 1 September 2010
We are deeply saddened by theloss of our friend and team mate Paul Kokelj, who passed away quietly in his sleep Wednesday morning after a courageous battle with cancer. Although his body was failing him, his spirit, faith and compassion continued to help all around him even in his final hours.
Paul played in the BBHL since 2001 and during that time endeared himself to everyone whom he played with. He was the consummate team mate, a fierce competitor and a friend both on and off the floor. Always selfless in his play and demeanour, Paul played at an elite level, competing with the Xtreme team at the Provincial and National levels. He travelled to the Men’s Nationals in Calgary in 2005 (as an 18 year old and the youngest player in the tournament) and then again to Saint John, NB in 2007. He also helped lead the Xtreme Junior team to a Bronze Medal in the 2006 Nationals.
On behalf of the entire BBHL family, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family, especially his parents, Andrew and Emma, brother Thomas, and sister Maria.

Xtreme Bantam AA's finish very strong and were up 2-1 going into the final period, but were not able to hold on for the Gold and earn a very respectable Silver and a seat at the Nationals again next year!
After a very tough revenge match versus Barrie in the Semi's, our Xtreme Junior AA's were over-tired and out gunned for the finals. THe team played with the BBHL's text-book class and earned a SIlver and a seat at the Nationals again next year!

Ball Hockey is an organized form of the great game we grew up playing on the street. It is an energetic game played with a plastic ball, instead of puck, on a rink with no ice. There is NO body contact - it is just for fun! It is excellent for developing stamina, coordination and encourages team play. It's great "dry land" training for those ice hockey players wishing to keep fit during the off season, while developing passing, stick handling shooting and play-making skills. Affiliation with the Ontario Ball Hockey Association (OBHA) leads to exciting tournaments against the best in the province.
